Portable batteries DSM pilot for LMI resiliency

Run a turnkey, Demand Side Management (DSM) pilot deploying modular, plug-and-play portable batteries paired for Low-to-Moderate Income (LMI) households, renters, and multifamily residents. During severe storms, equipment failures, or grid outages, these portable units would instantly transition into localized, indoor-safe microgrids, keeping essential medical devices like CPAPs, refrigeration for perishable groceries and medications, phone communications, and emergency lighting operational. The aim is to directly protect medically vulnerable and low-income residents who cannot safely run gas generators in apartments or afford emergency hotels. Part of the pilot would be simulating a command center of sorts to recharge portable batteries in the event of a prolonged outage — a gas generator is simple, you fill gas, but how does a portable battery get serviced if power is out for multiple days. The plan is to partner with local food delivery agencies, geographic based non-profits, and other mission driven energy companies.
