Maui Foster Farm Project

The Foster Farm Project, led by Common Ground Collective, restores underutilized farmland through regenerative orchard installations, native plantings, and soil-building practices that enhance watershed health and biodiversity. By integrating composting, mulching, and efficient irrigation, the project reduces erosion, runoff, and wildfire risks while increasing food security. It provides workforce training and community engagement opportunities that strengthen local resilience and reconnect people with traditional agricultural systems. This model demonstrates how regenerative agriculture can protect natural resources, mitigate climate hazards, and create meaningful visitor and educational experiences.
