Fund an outdoor learning space for keiki at their school, with funding going to existing ʻāina based non-profit programs that teach keiki about environmental stewardship through hands-on experiences, through caring for aina and their neighborhood. As an example, in the ahupuaʻa of Heʻeia, the non-profit Kakoʻo Oiwi could partner with Heʻeia Elementary, a title 1 school, to create ʻike ʻāina for what their ahupuaʻa holds through hands-ons experience through a school garden and what can be shared with their community / neighborhood.
