Kaua‘i County Cesspool Conversion Program

Kaua‘i County's Cesspool Conversion Program provides $20,000 grants to qualifying homeowners who convert their existing cesspools to Individuals Wastewater Systems (IWS). Grant recipients are selected based on a scoring system that considers the State's assessment of priority upgrade areas, household income, owner occupancy, likelihood of being served by a municipal wastewater system prior to 2050, and the status of their current cesspool.
