Kalaeloa Reef Laboratory Project

Initial Baseline Survey and Years 1-2 of Monitoring for the Kalaeloa Reef Laboratory project. The project will allow HDOT to test the effectiveness of hybrid reef structures to dissipate wave energy before it reaches the shore. This technology can be tailored and replicated for threatened shorelines statewide.
