Kailua and Lanikai dune restoration project funding

Resubmit a project to expand the geographic scope and financial and human resource capacity of ongoing efforts by the state, city and community to restore dunes and native vegetation along the Kailua and Lanikai shoreline to protect beaches and homes from erosion exacerbated by sea level rise. Key tasks for this project include community outreach and engagement, fencing and pathways, native dune vegetation nursery and planting and monitoring. This is an urgent project for highly visited beaches for the State and City. $1,050,000
