Green Infrastructure for Hawai‘i's Future

The Clean Energy – Community Impact Program empowers Hawai‘i residents, businesses, and agricultural operations to adopt clean energy technologies and strengthen infrastructure resilience. The program will focus on financing clean energy solutions, including the purchase and installation of photovoltaic solar systems, electric vehicles (EVs), energy-efficient appliances, and alternative energy systems. Financing will also support broader clean energy initiatives, such as solar energy generation with battery storage and waste-to-energy projects, expanding local renewable energy capacity and enhancing community and infrastructure resilience. Funding from the Hawai‘i Green Fee is reinvested directly into Hawai‘i’s residents, locally owned businesses, and agricultural operations, strengthening the state’s economic ecosystem while advancing Hawai‘i’s goal of 100% renewable energy by 2045.
