Green Fee funding for cesspool conversions

Hawai‘i’s cesspool crisis is one of the primary factors causing issues of public health, reef destruction, and unsafe water quality. Funding is required to either upgrade or remove the 88,000 cesspools in Hawai‘i that are discharging poorly treated wastewater into the ground water and ocean. The solutions exist to fix this problem, but the funding does not.
