Equitable tree planting and maintenance

The county’s and state highways needs more resources to preserve, grow, and manage urban trees. As Hawai‘i warms up, investing in the urban forest is the most cost effective mechanism to cool our environment, reduce stormwater pollution, increase biodiversity, encourage recreation, and improve the visitor experience.
