Destination-management infrastructure program
Improve high-use natural and cultural sites in tourism hotspots such as Kīholo Bay (Hawaiʻi Island), Ho‘opi‘i Falls (Kauaʻi), Waimea Valley (Oʻahu), and key trail systems that face high visitor demands. Funding would support low-impact parking, restrooms, lookout points, trail stabilization, and rockfall mitigation; modernized visitor flow systems; and development of visitor-supported revenue models (parking, merchandise, education programs).
Status: Funding Appropriated
