Deployable amphibious vehicles for emergency power
Amphibious vehicles equipped with MWh-level battery capacity are strategically deployed around island communities. The batteries normally service as short-duration energy storage systems to harden the grid in normal daily grid fluctuations. With storms approaching, the amphibious vehicles and batteries are disconnected from the grid to ready for service communities left without power after the storm. The amphibious vehicles are driven to where needed to provide aid to the people and communities, providing a vital link to energy and communications following storm outages.
