Complete water repairs at Hapuna Beach State Park
Hapuna Beach State Park's water lines have been broken, or temporarily fixed, for nearly a decade. This is the primary state park on the west side of Hawai‘i Island and is heavily used by both residents and visitors. A new well and waterline project began, and then stalled, with no timeline given for completion. Without water, the park facilities are not fully functional, impacting restrooms, concessions, shower, and the campground (which has been closed for numerous years).
