Ahupua‘a restoration through eco-stewardship

The Kuli‘ouʻou watershed, a vital source of clean water for Honolulu, faces serious threats from invasive species, erosion, and climate change. Since 2020, Aloha Tree Alliance has restored over 7,500 native trees using traditional Hawaiian practices to strengthen ecosystem resilience and cultural connection. ATA also engages local residents, schools, and visitors in hands-on restoration and environmental education. With Green Fee support, ATA will expand conservation education on Oʻahu's popular trails, advancing regenerative tourism that supports both ecological health and cultural preservation.
